NOTIFICATION
Kolkata, the 17th August, 2026

S.O. 4568(E). In exercise of Power conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989
(24 of 1989), Chapter IV-A (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied that
for the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which is given in the schedule below, is required for execution,
maintenance, management and operation of “Jaleswar-Chandaneswar new line (44.460 Km.) as "Special Railway
Project" pertains to 17.395 km. section under Jaleswar Tahasil in the district of Balasore in State of Odisha, hereby
declares its intension to acquire such land.

Any person interested in the said land may, within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of the
notification in the official Gazette, object, under sub-section (1) of the section 20D of the said Act to the acquisition
and use of such land for the aforesaid purpose.

Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority, viz Tahasildar-Cum-Executive Magistrate,
Jaleswar Tahasil, Balasore, Odisha in his office (located at near Jaleswar Municipality, At- Dharastok, P.O-Nuabazar
,P.S.- Jaleswar, Dist.-Balasore, Pin Code-756032, Odisha) in writing, and shall set out the grounds there of and
Competent Authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or by a legal practitioner,
and may, after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the competent authority
thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections as per Sub-Section (2) of section 20D of the said Act.

Any order made by the Competent Authority, viz. viz Tahasildar-Cum-Executive Magistrate, Jaleswar Tahasil,
Balasore, Odisha under Sub-Section (2) of section 20D of the said Act shall be final.

The land plans & the other details of the land covered under notification are available and can be inspected by
the interested person at the aforesaid office of the competent Authority.
