In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the proviso to sub-paragraph (6) of paragraph 3 and clause (c) of paragraph 5 of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide number S.O. 1533(E), dated the 14th September, 2006, the Central Government considering necessary and expedient, hereby extends the term of the Chairman and Members of the State Level Environmental Impact Assessment Authority, Uttar Pradesh and the term of the Chairman and Members of State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Uttar Pradesh for a period up to 9th March, 2025 or till the re- constitution of the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority and the State Level Expert Appraisal Committees, as the case may be, whichever is earlier, and for that purpose makes further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change number S.O. 2276 (E), dated the 11th June, 2021, namely:- "(a) in paragraph 2, for the words "three years and six months", the words "three years and nine months" shall be substituted; (b) in paragraph 6, for the words "three years and six months”, the words "three years and nine months" shall be substituted."
