The Rules govern recruitment to two Staff Car Driver, Grade-II posts (2024, subject to workload variation), a General Central Service Group 'C' non-gazetted, non-selection post at Level-4 of the pay matrix (Rs. 25,500-81,100), filled solely by promotion from Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) in Level-2 with eight years' regular service and a trade test prescribed by the Transport Department, GNCTD; no direct recruitment is provided for. The Departmental Promotion Committee for confirmation comprises the Principal Secretary/Secretary (PWD), the Head of the Department (Employment), and the Deputy Secretary (Urban Development). Persons who marry while a spouse is living, or vice versa, are disqualified subject to exemption, and the Government retains power to relax the Rules while preserving reservation benefits for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi, is pleased to frame the following Recruitment Rules, regarding the method of recruitment to the post of “Staff Car Driver, Grade-II” in Directorate of Employment, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, namely: 1. Short title and commencement:- (i) These rules may be called “Staff Car Driver, Grade-II” Recruitment Rules, 2024 Directorate of Employment, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. Number of posts, classification and Level in the Pay Matrix:-The number of posts, its classification and the Level in the Pay Matrix attached thereto, shall be as specified in column (2) to (4) of the Schedule attached thereto. 3. Method of Recruitment, Age limit and other qualifications, etc:-The method of recruitment to the said post, age limit, qualifications and other matters connected there with shall be as specified in column (5) to (13) of the said Schedule. 4. Disqualifications:- No person, a. Who has entered or contracted marriage with the person having a spouse living or b. Who having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person; shall be eligible for appointment to any of the said posts: Provided that Government may, if satisfied that such a marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and there are other grounds for doing, exempt any person from the operation of these rules. 5. Power to relax:-Where the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi is of the opinion that it isnecessary or expedient to do so, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, may relax any of the provision of these rules with respect to any class or category of person. 6. Saving:-Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes and other specified category of persons in accordance with orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard.
