The Rules govern recruitment to the post of Multi Tasking Staff in the Drugs Control Department, Government of NCT of Delhi: 14 posts (2024, subject to variation), classified as General Central Service, Group 'C', Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial, at Level-1 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 18,000-56,900); filled 100% by direct recruitment, with an age limit of 18-25 years (relaxable to 40 years for departmental candidates, or 18-27 years for open all-India competition) and a minimum qualification of Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Board/University; probation period of two years. The Rules disqualify bigamous persons from appointment (subject to Government exemption), allow relaxation of provisions by order, and preserve existing reservations and age-relaxation concessions for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Ex-servicemen and other special categories. No. 50(24)/DC/Estt./2023/323.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the constitution read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affair’s Notification No. S.O.3532 dated 24.09.1968, the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, hereby makes rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Multi Tasking Staff in the Drugs Control Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi as following, namely: 1. Short title and commencement- (i) These rules may be called the Drugs Control Department, Multi Tasking Staff Recruitment Rules, 2024 (ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY PART IV] 2. Number of post, Classification and Pay Level in Pay Matrix- The number of the said post, its classification and level in the pay matrix shall be specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 3. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications, etc.- The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule aforesaid. 4. Disqualification.-No person, (a) Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) Who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, Shall be eligible for appointment to the said post: Provided that the Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule. 5. Power to Relax- Where the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons. 6. Saving- Nothing in these rules, shall affect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Ex-servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard.
