                Detailed Summary
            

            
By S.O. 4341(E) dated 4th August 2026, the Ministry of Railways (South Eastern Railway, Construction Organization) declares, under sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 20E of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), that land specified in the annexed Schedule is acquired for and vests absolutely in the Central Government for the Special Railway Project "Buramara-Chakulia (59.96 Km.) new line" (39.70 km section), in East Singhbhum district, Jharkhand. This follows three earlier intention notices — S.O. 4707(E) dated 16th October 2025, S.O. 5377(E) dated 24th November 2025 and S.O. 5761(E) dated 12th December 2025 — issued under section 20A(1) of the said Act, the substance of which was published in the Hindi editions of "Prabhat Khabar" and "Dainik Bhaskar" on 23rd November, 11th December and 18th December 2025, under section 20A(4). No petition or objection was received by the Competent Authority during the hearing under section 20D, and the Competent Authority submitted its report under section 20E(1). The Schedule lists land parcels across four mouzas in Anchal Baharagora, East Singhbhum district, Jharkhand — Borol (6.6253 hectares), Siyalbinda (1.0069 hectares), Jadapal (5.0515 hectares) and Sirbai (0.6399 hectares) — held mainly by families surnamed Bera, Hembram, Munda, Murmu and Soren. NOTIFICATION
Kolkata, the 4th August, 2026
S.O. 4341(E).— Whereas, by the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (South
Eastern Railway/Construction Organization), number 4578, S.O.4707(E), dated 16th October 2025; no. 5201,
S.O.5377(E), dated 24th November 2025 and no. 5573, S.O.5761(E), dated 12th December 2025 were published in the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated dated 16th October 2025; dated 24th November
2025 and dated 12th December 2025 and issued under sub section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of
1989)(herein after referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, decided its intension to acquire the land
specified in the Schedule annexed to the notification number 4578, S.O.4707(E), dated 16th October 2025; no.5201,
S.O.5377(E), dated 24th November 2025 and no. 5573, S.O.5761(E), dated 12th December 2025 for execution,
maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely "Buramara-Chakulia (59.96 Km.) new
line" (39.70 Km. section) in the district of East Singhbhum in the State of Jharkhand.
And, whereas, the substance of the said notifications was published in the daily newspapers, namely ‘Prabhat
Khabar’ (Hindi Edition) and ‘Dainik Bhaskar’ (Hindi Edition), dated 23th November, 2025; dated 11th December 2025
and dated 18th December 2025 respectively under section (4) of section 20A of the said Act.
And, whereas, no petition/objection has been received from any person by the competent authority during
hearing of objection under section 20D of the said Act;
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on the publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed
hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
