Detailed Summary

Issued as S.O. 5301(E) dated 29th October 2025 by the North Central Railway (Construction Organization), Ministry of Railways, at Prayagraj, under sub-section (1) of Section 20E of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008). It recalls that the Central Government's intention to acquire land for the Special Railway Project 'construction of railway over bridge instead of level crossing number 37 between km-168/23-25 of Chunar to Chopan section' in Sonbhadra District, Uttar Pradesh, was declared under Section 20A by notification S.O. 2507(E) dated 25th May 2025, and that its substance was published in 'Dainik Jagran' and 'The Times of India' on 26th June 2025 under Section 20A(4). No objection was received, and the Competent Authority disposed of the matter and submitted its Section 20E report to the Central Government. The Central Government declares the land in the annexed Schedule acquired for the project and, upon publication of this notification, vested absolutely in the Central Government free of all encumbrances, with interested persons entitled under Section 20F(4) to file claims within 20 days before the Competent Authority (Irrigation, Mirzapur). The Schedule lists small private and government land parcels, with khasra numbers and acquisition area in hectares, in the villages of Naudiha, Mehudikhurd and Tand ki Dhaud alias Robertganj under Robertsganj Tehsil, Sonbhadra District, for a grand total of 0.0545 hectares.

CG-UP-E-24112025-267925 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) 7766 GI/2025 (1) [. . 1-G/ROB-37/Land Acquisition/2024-25/01] MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [North Central Railway (Construction Organization)] NOTIFICATION Prayagraj, the 29th October, 2025 S.O. 5301(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the ministry of Railways (North Central Railway, Construction Department), Notification Number S.O. 2507 (E), dated the 25 May 2025 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), Notification Number 2448, dated the 09 Jun 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) and issued under sub-section (I) of section 20A of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11th of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the Land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project namely “construction of railway over bridge instead of level crossing number 37 between km-168/23-25 of Chunar to Chopan section” in the district of Sonbhadra in the State of Uttar Pradesh; And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspaper namely, “Dainik Jagran” and “The Times Of India” dated 26 Jun 2025 under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act. And whereas, No objection was received and the same has been considered by the Competent authority accordingly order has been passed; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (I) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed here to shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed here to shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances. And that by the Central Government, all the beneficial persons are informed in the land suitable in accordance with the sub –section (04) of Section 20 (F) of the said Act that they can present their claim before the competent authority (Irrigation Mirzapur) in the office of the competent authority on the upcoming 20 days of publication of the notification.
