CG-RJ-E-07012026-269148 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) No. 73] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, JANUARY 5, 2026/PAUSHA 15, 1947 88 GI/2026 (1) MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [North Western Railway (Construction Organisation)] NOTIFICATION Jaipur, the 1st January, 2026 S.O. 83(E).— Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways (North Western Railway, Construction organisation), Notification number, S.O. 4216(E). dated the 16th September, 2025 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3 Sub-section (ii), dated the 17th September, 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) under sub-section (i) of section 20A of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declares its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely "Pushkar-Merta (Katyasani) New BG line Project (Special Rail Project)" in Tehsil Pushkar of District Ajmer in the state of Rajasthan. And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely “Dainik Bhaskar” and “Rajasthan Patrika” Dated 25th September-2025 under sub section (4) of section 20A of the said Act; And whereas, objections received within the stipulated time period were resolved by Competent Authority and accordingly. And, whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declare that the lands specified in the schedule annexed here to shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, The Central Government herby declares that on publication of the notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
