By notification S.O. 5746(E) dated 11 December 2025, issued from Mumbai, the Ministry of Railways (Western Railway, Construction Organization) declares, under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), the Central Government's intention to acquire the land described in the annexed Schedule for the Special Railway Project 'Adraj Moti-Vijapur Gauge Conversion Project' in Mahesana district, Gujarat. Persons interested in the land may, within thirty days from the date of publication of the notification in the Official Gazette, raise objections to the acquisition and use of the land under section 20D(1); objections must be made in writing to the competent authority, the Prant Officer, Visnagar, District Mahesana, setting out the grounds, and the competent authority must give the objector a hearing in person or through a legal practitioner and may, after such hearing and any further enquiry it considers necessary, allow or disallow the objections by order; any such order under section 20D(2) is final. The land plans and other details are available for inspection at the competent authority's office. The Schedule lists 59 parcels of mainly private agricultural land, along with some government waste land and road land, across the villages of Kanbha, Kotdi and Vijapur in Taluka Vijapur, District Mahesana, with individual parcel areas given in square metres. The notification is signed by D.R. NOTIFICATION
Mumbai, the 11th December, 2025
S.O. 5746(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(I) of section 20A of the Railways
Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred in as the said act), the Central Government after being satisfied that for
the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which has given in the schedule annexed hereto, is required for
execution of the special Railway Project, namely, Adraj Moti -Vijapur Gauge Conversion Project in District
Mahesana in the state of Gujarat, hereby declares its intention to acquired such land.
Any person interested in the said land may, within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this
notification in the Official Gazette, raise objection to the acquisition and use of such land for the aforesaid purpose
under sub-section(I) of section 20D of the said Act.
Every such objection shall be made to the competent authority, namely, Prant officer, Visnagar, District
Mahesana, in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof and the competent authority shall give the objector an
opportunity of being heard, either in person or by legal practitioner and may after hearing all such objections and after
making such further enquiry, if any as the competent authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the
objections.
Any order made by the competent authority under sub-section (II) of section 20(D) of the said act shall be
final.
The land plans and other details of the land covered under this notification are available and can be inspected
by the interested person at the aforesaid office of the competent authority.
