NOTIFICATION
Mumbai, the 10th August, 2026
S.O. 4426(E).— Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway
Board) (Published in the Gazette of India, Extra Ordinary part II Section-3 Sub-section (I)) (here in after referred to as
the said notification) under subsection(I) of section 20A of the Railway Act 1989 (24 of 1989) amendment 2024
(hereinafter referred to as the said Act) the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in
the Schedule annexed to the said notification 321 Dated 12-05-2026 for execution, maintenance, management and
operation of the Special Railway Project, namely "Dahod-Jhabua New BG Line via Jhabua Project" in the State of
Madhya Pradesh.
And under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act, out of local newspapers, Hindi language newspaper
Dainik Prasaran Ratlam on 21-05-2026 and published in English newspaper Times of India Indore on 21-05-2026
and the objections received by the competent authority have been duly resolved and, Competent Authority said has
submitted its report to the Central Government in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the Act.
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central government here by
declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette the land specified in the schedule annexed here to
shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
The Land Plans and other details of the land covered under this notification are available and can be inspected
by the interested person aforesaid Office of the Competent Authority.
