CG-MH-E-09072025-264479 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) 4208 GI/2025 (1) MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [Western Railway (Construction Organization)] NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 18th June 2025 S.O. 2872(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), S. O. 2906 (E) dated the 19th July, 2024 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3, Sub-section (ii), No. 680, S. O. 710 (E) Dated 15/02/2023 and No. 2769, S.O. 2906(E) dated 23/07/2024 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) and issued under sub- section (1) of section 20 A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declares its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely “Borivali Virar - 5th & 6th Railway Line Project” in the district of Palghar in the State of Maharashtra. And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely “Tarun Bharat”, “Prahar” and “Midday” Dated 7th August 2024 under sub section (4) of section 20 A of the said Act. And whereas, no objections were received and the same have been considered by the Competent Authority accordingly orders have been passed. And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20 E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government. Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed here to shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose. This notification is a supplementary notification to the Gazette Notification dated 30-09-2024 published in the Gazette of India No. 3959 dated 01-10-2024 (Gazette ID CG-MH-E-03102024-257647) and Gazette Notification dated 25-07-2024 published in the Gazette of India No. 2824 dated 25-07-2024 (Gazette ID CG-MH-E-27072024-255799). And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central government free from all encumbrances.
