In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Director (Administration), Chief Administrative Officer, Senior Administrative Officer, Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer and Assistant (Group-'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2019, namely:-- 1. Short title and commencement. (1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Director (Administration), Chief Administrative Officer, Senior Administrative Officer, Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer and Assistant (Group-'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Director (Administration), Chief Administrative Officer, Senior Administrative Officer, Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer and Assistant (Group- 'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2019, in the Schedule, against serial number 4 relating to the post of Administrative Officer, - (I) in column (11), - (i) under the sub-heading “Promotion", - (a) for the words “three years”, the words “five years” shall be substituted; (b) for the words "two weeks", the words "four weeks" shall be substituted; (ii) (a) after sub-heading “Promotion" and the entries relating thereto and before Note 1, the following Note shall be inserted, namely: - "Note 1: The eligibility service shall continue to be three years in respect of the persons holding the post of Assistant Administrative Officer in level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 44900-142400) on regular basis on the date of notification of the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines, Director (Administration), Chief Administrative Officer, Senior Administrative Officer, Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer and Assistant (Group- 'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023."; (b) "Note 1" shall be renumbered as “Note 2"; (II) in column (13), the words "on each occasion" shall be omitted.
