L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-03012024-251124 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 08] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 3, 2024/PAUSHA 13, 1945 MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATIONS (Department of Posts) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 3rd January, 2024 G.S.R. 09(E). —In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (e) of sub-section (3) of Section 16 and Section 21, read with section 74 of the Indian Post Office Act, 1898 (6 of 1898), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Post Office Rules, 1933, namely: - 1. (1) These rules may be called the Indian Post Office (Amendment) Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Indian Post Office Rules, 1933, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 42, sub-rule (5) shall be omitted. 3. In rule 43 A of the said rules, sub-rule (4) shall be omitted. 4.
