EXTRAORDINARY PART III—Section 4 PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 679] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY , AUGUST 29, 2024 /BHADRA 7, 194 6 CG-DL-E-02092024-256822 THE BUREAU OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 29th August, 2024 No. BEE/S& L/Ceiling Fan/05/2023 -24.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (i) of sub -section (2) of section 58 read with clause (n) of sub -section (2) of section 13 and clause(d) of section 14 of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 (52 of 2001), the Bureau of Energy Efficiency with the previous approval of the Central Government, hereby amend the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Electric Ceiling Type Fans) Regulation, 2022, the proposed draft amendments are hereb y published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, as required by sub -section (1) of section 58 of the said Act, for the information of all the persons likely to be affected thereby and inviting their suggestions and objections (if any); and the notice is hereby given that the said draft regulations shall be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date of their publication in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary; Objections or suggestions, if any, may be addressed to the Director -General, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, 4th Floor, Sewa Bhawan, Sector -1, R.K.Puram, New Delhi -110066 ; Objections or suggestions which may be received from the persons with respect to the said draft amendment regulations before the expiry of the period of thirty days specified in para 1 above, shall be taken into consideration by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency. 1. Short title and commencement. -(1) These regulations may be called the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Electric Ceiling Type Fans), Amendment Regulations, 2024. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In sub - regulation (1) of regulation 3 after item(j), the following shall be inserted namely. - (k) Electricity Saving/Year (kWh) ; and (l) CO 2 Emission Reduction/Year (KgCO 2) ; 3. In the said regulations, in Schedule, under the heading, ―“Particulars to be displayed on labels of electric ceiling type fan’’, under item “1(i)(a) & (b), (iii) & (iv)”, the following shall be substituted respectively, namely. - 1. Label design (i) Dimension : (a) Dimension of the label to be affixed on packaging: (b) Dimension of the label to be affixed on Ceiling Fan Motor: (ii) Colour scheme for the label : NAVY BLUE – C: 97, M:95 , Y:6 , K:1 GREEN – C: 81 , M: 10 , Y:90 , K:1 Note: Bottom of Bureau’s logo and star filler in GREEN colour only and all fonts and top of Bureau’s logo in NAVY BLUE (iv) The complete specimen of a printed label for Electric Ceiling Type fan: 4. In all the FORMS of the principal regulation, for figures and words “Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Label of Electric Ceiling Type fan) Regulations, 2022” wherever they occurs, the following shall be substituted namely. - “Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Label of Electric Ceiling Type fan) Amendment Regulations, 2024”. 5. In the said regulations, under item 5 of Annexure A – II of Form II, under the heading “Specimen of the label to be affixed on the Electric Ceiling Type fan is shown below, the following shall be substituted”, namely. - 6. In the said regulations, under item no.4 of Annexure A - IV of Form IV, under the heading “Specimen of the label duly approved by the Bureau to be affixed on the Electric Ceiling Type Fan is shown below (Separate specimens for family of models is annexed)”, the following shall be substituted, namely. - The unique label series code provided in the letter has to mentioned in the label affixed on the Electric Ceiling Type Fan.
