Detailed Summary

By notification S.O. 1465(E) dated 27th March 2025, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways confirms, under sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 3D of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the acquisition of land specified in the Schedule for the building (widening/four-laning), maintenance, management and operation of the Western Bypass of Gwalior in the stretch from Km 0.250 to Km 20.900 (under the Office of the Sub Divisional Officer (Revenue), Gwalior), in District Gwalior, State of Madhya Pradesh. The Central Government's original intention to acquire this land was declared in notification S.O. 214(E) dated 13th January 2025 under Section 3A(1), the substance of which was published in "Dainik Bhaskar" and "Times of India", both dated 19th January 2025, under Section 3A(3). Objections filed under Section 3-C were considered and settled by the Competent Authority, which then submitted its report to the Central Government under Section 3D(1). The Schedule lists 63 plots totalling 6.0548 hectares of unirrigated, irrigated, commercial and road land across the villages of Nirawali, Jinawali, Jigsoli and Kuleth in Taluk Gwalior, held by numerous private owners and the Special Area Development Authority (SADA), Gwalior, and by the M.P. Government Housing and Environment Department, which shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances, upon publication in the Official Gazette. CG-DL-E-30032025-262134 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) 2163 GI/2025 (1) MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 27th March, 2025 S.O. 1465(E).— In Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, S.O. 214(E) Dated:13/01/2025 , published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of Western Bypass of Gwalior in the stretch of land from Km. 0.250 to Km. 20.900 (Office of the Sub Divisional Officer (Revenue), Gwalior District Gwalior) in the district of GWALIOR in the state of MADHYA PRADESH; And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “Dainik Bhaskar” and “Times of India” both dated 19/01/2025; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
