Under S.O. 5436(E), issued under section 11 of the National Highways Authority of India Act, 1988 (68 of 1988), the Government entrusts to the National Highways Authority of India several highway stretches in Bihar, including the NE9 green-field expressway from its junction with NH-22 near Mirnagar Arazi (Hazipur) to its junction with NH-27 near Hansadah (Purnia), an 11.40 km section of NH-22 (old NH-99) from the Jharkhand/Bihar border to Dobhi, a 23.65 km spur of NH-27 near Kishanganj, the entire NH-327 within Bihar from Galgalia to Maheshi (Tarapeeth), a 55.40 km section of NH-31 (old NH-81) from Korha to the Bihar/West Bengal border, and the entire NH-133 within Bihar near Duldulia. Under S.O. 5437(E), the Government amends its notification S.O. 5426(E) dated 22nd November, 2022, omitting the entry for the 29.60 km NH-327 Extension, Parsarma-Bangaon-Mahishi section. Under S.O. 5438(E), issued under the National Highways Authority of India Act, 1988, the Government rescinds, with immediate effect, its notification S.O. 2040(E) dated 28th May, 2021 (Gazette of India, Extraordinary No. 1896).
