This notification, S.O. 1795(E) dated 8th April 2026 and issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, is made under sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 3D of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). It follows the Ministry's earlier notification 5366 dated 24th November 2025, issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the Act, declaring the Central Government's intention to acquire land for the building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of NH44 in the stretch from Km. 219.25 to Km. 220.4 in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh. The substance of that notification was published in "Dainik Bhasker" and "The Times of India" on 5th December 2025 under sub-section (3) of section 3A. Objections filed under Section 3-C were received and settled by the competent authority. Having received the competent authority's report under sub-section (1) of section 3D, the Central Government declares that the land specified in the Schedule -- 26 parcels totalling 1.13 hectares in Bamhori Bika village, Sagar Taluk, Sagar district -- shall be acquired for this purpose and, on publication, vests absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances, under sub-section (2) of section 3D. NHAI/35010/2025-26/LA/3(a)/Notif/PIU-Sagar/3D] MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 8th April, 2026 S.O. 1795(E).— Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, 5366 Dated:24/11/2025 , published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub- section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of NH44 in the stretch of land from Km. 219.25 to Km. 220.4 in the district of SAGAR in the state of MADHYA PRADESH And whereas the substance of the said notification No.5366 Dated:24 November 2025 has been published in Dainik Bhasker and The Times of India Dated 05 December 2025 under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
