By notification S.O. 4835(E), dated 1 September 2026, New Delhi, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, acting under sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 3D of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), finalises the acquisition of land for the Western Indore Bypass from Km 8.8 to Km 20.87 in Indore district, Madhya Pradesh, for building (four-laning/six-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of the bypass. The notification follows an earlier declaration of intent, S.O. 3154(E) dated 16 June 2026, issued under section 3A of the Act, the substance of which was published in Dainik Bhaskar and Free Press, both dated 21 June 2026, under section 3A(3). Objections filed under section 3-C were received, considered and settled by the Competent Authority, which then submitted its report to the Central Government under section 3D(1). The Central Government accordingly declares that the land specified in the Schedule shall be acquired, and that on publication of this notification it vests absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances, under section 3D(2). The Schedule lists 54 private and government irrigated-land parcels across the villages of Kishanpura, Lalendipura, Rolai, Betma Khurd and Mohna in Depalpur taluk, Indore district, totaling 1.5376 hectares. NHAI/RO-BPL/PIU-IND/DPR/IRR/207726/3D] MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 1st September, 2026 S.O. 4835(E).— Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, 3154(E) Dated:16/06/2026 , published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub- section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (four-laning/Six Laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of Western Indore Bypass in the stretch of land from Km. 8.8 to Km. 20.87 in the district of INDORE in the state of MADHYA PRADESH And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in "Dainik Bhaskar" and "Free Press" Both Dated 21/06/2026; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
