Detailed Summary

Acting under sub-section (1) of Section 3D of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, by notification S.O. 2393(E) dated 30 May 2025, declares that land specified in the Schedule shall be acquired for building (widening/four-laning), maintenance, management and operation of National Highway No. 146 [Bhopal (Ratnagiri Tiraha) - Vidisha (Morikodi) section], in the stretch from Km. 3.900 to Km. 11.850, in Bhopal district, Madhya Pradesh. This follows the declaration of intent to acquire issued as notification 2584 dated 03/07/2024 under Section 3A(1), publication of its substance in the newspapers Navdunia and Free Press on 23/07/2024 under Section 3A(3), and the consideration and settlement of objections filed under Section 3-C. On receipt of the competent authority's report under Section 3D(1), the Central Government, under Section 3D(2), declares that the land described in the Schedule, comprising 14 parcels totaling 0.31 hectares in Sagoni Kalan village, Huzur taluk, Bhopal district, shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances, upon publication of this notification. NHAI/BPL;SAG/LA/41010/2020/3D] MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th May, 2025 S.O. 2393(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, 2584 Dated:03/07/2024, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub- section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of National Highway No. 146 [Bhopal (Ratnagiri Tiraha) - Vidisha (Morikodi) section] in the stretch of land from Km. 3.900 to Km. 11.850 in the district of BHOPAL in the state of MADHYA PRADESH. And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in Newspapers “Navdunia” and “Free Press” both dated 23/07/2024; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
