The Central Government declares its intention to acquire land for the development, maintenance, management, and operation of a High-Speed access-controlled Corridor from Panipat-Gorakhpur (Shamli-Kheri Phase-1).

The Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956, authorizes specified officers as competent authorities to perform functions under the said Act for the development of the Panipat-Gorakhpur High-Speed access-controlled Corridor in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The Central Government proposes to redraw the Eco-Sensitive Zone around the State Animal Barahsingha Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttar Pradesh, extending one to 27.5 kilometres from its boundary, superseding an earlier draft notification.
