Detailed Summary

The High Court of Delhi, New Delhi, through Notification No. 5/Rules/DHC dated 24th January, 2026, has resolved to introduce a one-time process fee. In terms of Rule 1(c) of Part F of Chapter 1 of Volume V of Delhi High Court Rules and Orders, a fee of Rs. 1,000/- shall be payable by the petitioner/appellant/applicant at the time of institution of the petition/appeal/application, irrespective of the number of respondents/defendants/opposite parties. A fee of Rs. 500/- shall be payable by the respondent/opposite party at the time of filing their reply/counter affidavit/response. It is clarified that this one-time process fee does not include any other incidental levies or fees such as expenses for publication, beat of drums, affixation, or commission. This fee will be chargeable from the date of its publication in the Gazette. The notification was issued By Order of the Court by Arun Bhardwaj, Registrar General.
