Short title and commencement.—These rules may be called the Life Insurance Corporation General (Amendment) Rules, 2026. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Life Insurance Corporation General Rules, 1956, in rule 5, in sub-rule (1), in clause (i), — (i) for the words "one further term of four years", the words "reappointment for one further term of up to four years" shall be substituted; (ii) in the proviso, for the words "one further term of four years", the words "one further term of up to four years" shall be substituted.
