The eligibility service for feeder post holders remains two years. The maximum deputation period is ordinarily three years, and the maximum age limit for deputation is fifty-six years as of the application receipt date. L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-03022026-269796 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 91] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2026/MAGHA 14, 1947 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-SEC. 3(i)] MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 3rd February, 2026 G.S.R. 96(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (2) of section 141 of the Border Security Force Act, 1968 (47 of 1968), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Border Security Force, Assistant Commandant (Official Language) Group 'A' Combatised post Recruitment Rules, 2015 in the Border Security Force under the Ministry of Home Affairs, namely: - 1. (1) These rules may be called the Border Security Force, Assistant Commandant (Official Language) Group 'A' Combatised post Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2026. (2) They shall come into Force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Border Security Force, Assistant Commandant (Official Language) Group 'A' Combatised post Recruitment Rules, 2015, - (a) in rule 7, for the words "fifty-seven years" wherever they occur, the words "sixty years" shall be substituted; (b) in the Schedule, in column (11), for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted, namely: - "Deputation: Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union territory Administrations, - (a) (i) holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or Department: or (ii) with two years regular service in level-9 in the pay matrix (Rs. 53100-167800); or (iii) with four years regular service in level-8 in the pay matrix (Rs. 47600-151100); and (b) possessing the following qualifications and experience, namely: (i) (A) Masters degree of a recognised University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or (B) Masters degree of a recognised University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or (C) Masters degree of a recognised University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi as the medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or (D) Masters degree of a recognised University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English as the medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at the degree level; or (E) Masters degree of a recognised University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subject or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level; and (ii) three years' experience of using or applying terminology (terminological work) in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa, preferable of technical or scientific literature under the Central Government or State Governments or an autonomous body or statutory organisation or public sector undertakings or Universities or recognised research or educational institution; or (iii) three years' experience of teaching in Hindi and English or research in Hindi or English under the Central Government or State Governments or an autonomous body or statutory organisation or public sector undertakings or University or recognised research or educational institution. Note 1.- The departmental Subedar Major (Hindi Translator) in the Border Security Force in level-8 in the pay matrix (Rs.47600-151100) with four years of regular service in the grade shall be considered alongwith outsiders. If the departmental candidate is selected for appointment to the post, it shall be treated as having been filled by promotion. Note 2.- The eligibility service shall continue to be two years for persons holding the feeder post of Subedar Major (Hindi Translator) in the Border Security Force in level-8 in the pay matrix (Rs.47600-151100) on regular basis on the date of notification of these rules. Note 3.- The period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years. Note 4.- The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not be exceeding fifty-six years as on the date of receipt of applications. [F.
